I will take this opportunity to welcome myself back to my own blog.
Hello again blog. I apologize for my lengthy unexplained absence. I hope we can get past this and move on to rebuilding our relationship.
So, I’ve been lucky enough to be asked to contribute to Motilo.com. The best part, I was able to write whatever I wanted. Its always so rewarding when you get to write about an important issue (its something I’ve definitely missed since finishing my degree).
Recent events in my life (that I probably shouldn’t divulge or run the risk of getting certain companies in a lot of trouble) have brought into light the shocking amount of waste generated by the fashion industry. To me, it seems genuinely bizzare how little people seem to be discussing these issues and I think its high time praise were bestowed on those who dare to vocalize. For example, Livia Firth (yes Mrs Darcey herself), not only is she instrumental in the green carpet challenge, a movement which has seen an increasing number of A-listers gracing the red carpet in beautiful sustainable fashions, but she is also creative director for ecoage.com.
My new article for Motilo explores the environmental hazards engendered by the fashion world. I would love to know what you think. If you like the article please tweet, blog, like on facebook.
